Donations made to organizations recognized as charitable in Luxembourg are tax-deductible.

Donations made to charitable organizations in other member states of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland are also tax-deductible.

What are the minimum and maximum deductible amounts?

For these donations to be deductible as special expenses, their annual total must be at least 120€.

The annual deduction may not exceed 20% of the taxpayer's total net income, and may not exceed 1.000.000€.

Deduct your donations in Luxembourg!

In Luxembourg, generosity is rewarded fiscally. Donations made to recognised public interest organisations or associations may be deducted from your taxable income, subject to certain conditions.

What are the conditions for deducting your donations?

  • The donation(s) must be made to an approved organisation in Luxembourg (or sometimes abroad if it is recognised),
  • The total amount of donations must be at least 120€ per year.
  • The ceiling is set at 20% of your net income or 1.000.000€.
  • The donation must be monetary.
  • You must be in possession of an official tax certificate issued by the beneficiary organisation or at least a bank statement.
